چکیده

In this paper we investigate the structure and motion problem for calibrated one-dimensional projections of a two-dimensional environment. In a previous paper the structure and motion problem for all cases with non-missing data was classified and solved. Our aim is here to classify all structure and motion problems, even those with missing data, and to solve them. Although our focus here is on onedimensional retina, the classification part works equally well for ordinary cameras, and we give some results for those as well.

Minimal Cases of the Structure and Motion Problem with Missing Data for One-dimensional Retinae

An Adaptive Physics-Based Method for the Solution of One-Dimensional Wave Motion Problems

In this paper, an adaptive physics-based method is developed for solving wave motion problems in one dimension (i.e., wave propagation in strings, rods and beams). The solution of the problem includes two main parts. In the first part, after discretization of the domain, a physics-based method is developed considering the conservation of mass and the balance of momentum. In the second part, ada...

An L Approach to Structure and Motion Problems in 1D-Vision

The structure and motion problem of multiple onedimensional projections of a two-dimensional environment is studied. One-dimensional cameras have proven useful in several different applications, most prominently for autonomous guided vehicles, but also in ordinary vision for analysing planar motion and the projection of lines. Previous results on one-dimensional vision are limited to classifyin...

A method to solve the problem of missing data, outlier data and noisy data in order to improve the performance of human and information interaction

Abstract Purpose: Errors in data collection and failure to pay attention to data that are noisy in the collection process for any reason cause problems in data-based analysis and, as a result, wrong decision-making. Therefore, solving the problem of missing or noisy data before processing and analysis is of vital importance in analytical systems. The purpose of this paper is to provide a metho...

Global Optimization for One-Dimensional Structure and Motion Problems

We study geometric reconstruction problems in one-dimensional retina vision. In such problems, the scene is modeled as a 2D plane, and the camera sensor produces 1D images of the scene. Our main contribution is an efficient method for computing the global optimum to the structure and motion problem with respect to the L∞ norm of the reprojection errors. One-dimensional cameras have proven usefu...
